Liz's parents' visit

My (Liz) parents were able to spend a week with us after Marcus' baby blessing. We went to Rhode Island to see some mansions. And they were able to do the Freedom Trail and see some museums. It was great having them here! I don't get to spend enough time with them living so far away. They were kind enough to watch Marcus for us while we went to the temple too, which was great!!

Here are some pictures from the week:

Baby Blessing

Dave gave Marcus a beautiful baby blessing on April 8, 2012. It was a wonderful occasion---and we were so happy that both grandfathers could participate. My parents drove here from Utah (doing a Mormon Church history tour on the way). And Dave's parents drove here from Michigan.

Family Pictures

My sister Becki is an amazing photographer! So, she took some time to take a few pictures of us while she was here visiting. Here they are:

It was a bright day, so Marcus was squinting a bit :)

Love that smile.

Sisters Visit!!

My 3 wonderful sisters came to visit in March. It was so fun to have them here. We went to Rhode Island to go on some mansion tours, did the Freedom Trail in Boston, walked around Harvard Square etc. It was so nice to have them here. Our house barely squeezed us all in--but it worked! It was nice to have some good mothering advice and to just observe how they interacted with Marcus. Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing here :)

My sisters even let Dave and I go on a date while they were here. We went to see the Hunger Games movie of course :)  So thanks sisters!!

Here are some pictures from their trip here:

Spring Break in Michigan

We decided at the last minute to go to Michigan for Spring Break to visit Dave's family. We flew their with Marcus and were so blessed to have a sleepy baby during the flights. Marcus was a trooper.

We had a great visit and Dave's family was able to meet Marcus. Plus we were able to meet Dave's sister Rachel's baby boy Blake who was born last September---and he's adorable!

So here's some pictures from the trip!

I thought this picture was so funny. Marcus' cousin Jakob doing bunny ears on him :)

Ava holding Marcus. She's such a cutie!

 Grandpa Geiger holding Marcus.

Here's our newest adorable nephew Blake. And aunt Becky holding Marcus.

Rachel and Blake ready to go for a walk :)

Grandma Geiger and Marcus. We discovered this is Marcus' favorite position to be held. He's a little particular about it :)

Rhode Island

On 10 March we went to Rhode Island to visit our friends Jesse and Sarita. It was a fun little trip and our first time taking Marcus so far (though it's only and hour away).

We went for a drive and to Newport to walk around. Newport is beautiful and I've since been back for some Mansion tours with my sisters and parents. We bought some lobster (alive) in Newport and then took them back to boil them for dinner. It was quite the experience and Dave was the brave one to throw the lobster in the pot :)  We decided we're not the biggest fans of lobster---but it was still a cool experience---thanks Jesse and Sarita!!

 Pretty lighthouse :)

We went across that cool bridge to get to Newport. I love bridges :)

Love the ocean!

Dave braving the lobster---he could have lost a finger! ;)

RIP

Then the real work began---getting through the hard shell skin to the meat. It was good!
