Montreal & Sharon VT

I've been wanting to go to Montreal for a very long time. And we finally made it happen in September! It's a five hour drive from our house. It's a beautiful city! We didn't have the best first impression. The night we arrived it was pouring rain and then the next morning our train to our first destination broke down. But it turned out to be fun after that!

We went to the "Jardin botanique". It was definitely the coolest botanic garden either of us had ever been to! Here are some pictures to prove it...

We also went to the top of the Olympic Park Tower which was really cool. It's the largest tower that goes up at a 45 degree angle.

We visited Montreal's Notre Dame too, which was beautiful.

And we spent time wandering around the city. The city had a very European feel to it. And it was strange to be so close to home but be in such a foreign place. They primarily speak French there.

We loved our little trip and are glad we were able to make it happen!

On our way home we stopped in Sharon, Vermont. This is where the prophet Joseph Smith was born. They have a great little visitor center there and it's such a pretty area. It's so peaceful and easy to feel the spirit there.
